Deep Rock Galactic
Four space dwarves, one cave that is trying to kill them, and the best team chemistry in co-op gaming.

What you do
You and up to three friends pick a class (scout, driller, engineer or gunner), drop into a cave that is generated fresh each time and dig your way to the objective. Every mission ends with a dash back to the drop pod while bugs pour out of the walls.
Who it suits
Groups who want to cooperate rather than compete. The classes depend on each other so much that even quiet players end up talking.
The first evening
Start with the short Mining Expedition missions on Hazard 2. The game explains its tools as you go, and the in-game supply rack means nobody runs out of ammo for long. Within an hour your group will have its own jokes about the scout's flare gun.
Why the classes matter
The driller tunnels, the engineer builds platforms, the gunner lays zip-lines and the scout lights the dark. No class is useless on its own, but together they turn a nasty cave into a playground. That interdependence is the whole design.
Playing with strangers
Public lobbies are some of the friendliest online. The salute button, the shared "Rock and Stone!" call and a culture of helping new players mean it is a decent place to play when your group is short of a fourth.
On deck
- Classes that genuinely need each other
- Fresh caves every time, so no two runs repeat
- Fair pricing with no paid power
Below deck
- Online only, no split screen
- Higher hazard levels can feel punishing for new players
