Left 4 Dead 2

The classic four-player zombie campaign. Short, tense, and still the best game about sticking together.

What you do

Four survivors fight through short campaigns to reach a rescue. An AI "director" changes where enemies and supplies appear each time, so the same map never plays quite the same way.

Who it suits

Adult groups who want a quick, tense game that anyone can pick up in five minutes.

Stay together

Special enemies pull players away from the group. The whole game teaches one lesson: if you wander off, you go down. Groups get better at it very quickly.

The director

Hidden systems change the pace based on how the group is doing. It keeps every run tense, even after years of playing.

Endless community maps

Thousands of free fan-made campaigns are on the Steam Workshop, so the game never really runs out.
